What We Believe

We strive to be people through whom love Flows

We believe that love flows from God, through us, to the world. This shapes our understanding of who we are in relationship to God, with others in the church, and with our community.

Love Flows: From God

We believe that God is the source of all grace (undeserved loving-kindness), mercy, and love. John 3:16, 1 John 4:7

We believe that the Father sent his Son Jesus Christ to love and save the world through his death and resurrection. 1 John 4:9-10

Through Us

We believe that the love of God shown to us calls us to a radical transformation in our lives that compels us to love everyone who comes through our doors and becomes part of our community 1 John 4:7

To The World

Having received God’s love and having shared that love with one another, we as a community seek to take that love into the world around us. We strive to live God’s love with everyone in New Orleans.

We seek to love everyone by supporting them in their spiritual and physical needs. We desire that the love of God be part of their lives and that they would know the salvation that we enjoy.

We all know that this world is not perfect and there are some serious problems. All people suffer from the effects of evil (original sin). It affects our actions, our relationships, and the entire creation of God in very negative ways.

The ultimate consequence of this sin is that people die. Romans 6:23. Nevertheless, God shows mercy on his creation through the free gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus. Romans 6:23. Through Jesus we believe that our sins are forgiven and our relationship with God is restored. And so, we believe that this love we have received must be shared with all those around us.

This is just a summary of what we believe. We invite you to know us better by joining us for worship service on Sunday mornings or one of our upcoming events.
